On Sept. 13, 2023, the 2005 Committee invited the celebrated tenor Dai Yuqiang, as well as the violinist Gao Can, both members of the 2005 Committee, to hold a luncheon salon ‘The Development and Future of Art Education’ in the chamber music hall of the Yu Art Foundation (‘YAF’), creating a triple-facet experience of music, art and food.

At the beginning, Dai Yuqiang told about his singing career path and his dedication to the music education of the youth, and he invited the Committee member Huang Weidong onto the stage to teach him basic methods of singing and pronunciation. Recently appointed as the dean of the Henan Conservatory of Music of Zhengzhou University, Dai Yuqiang has felt strong sense of responsibility and hoped to cultivate more high-level professional talents in art. Mr. Dai also invited the Committee member Cheng Lin, a noted singer, in the audience seats to join the teaching faculty of the Henan Conservatory to contribute to the art education together.

After the sharing session, Dai Yuqiang’s students - mezzo-soprano Lin Shao and baritone Zhao Langxu - each performed a solo from the famous operas with pianist Niu Chuang. Their excellent performance and artistic appeal amazed the guests. At last, Dai Yuqiang gave his singing performance to the violin and piano accompaniments of Gao Can and Niu Chuang, finishing the concert with a trio of a Chinese song.

Afterwards, the 2005 Committee members and guests enjoyed the luncheon at the lounge of YAF, sharing stories, exchanging ideas and enjoying the beautiful moment brought by dishes and arts.
